Oiseau Bay Eco-Landing Guest Policy

(all guests are required to read this)

*We are an off-grid resort. That means that all of our electricity is provided by solar energy, and we try to keep energy expenditure to a minimum. Please, be conscious that you don't use excessive amounts of energy and water.

*We have ice boxes, propane-powered refrigerators, and propane stoves and BBQ's. Please leave your plug-in appliances (coffee grinders, hair dryers, etc.) at home.

*We work very hard to provide clean, beautiful, and fully equipped cottages for you to enjoy. We ask that you leave the cottages as clean--and with the same kitchen implements--as you found them.

*We try to keep glass to an absolute minimum at Oiseau Bay Eco-Landing, both for safety and convenience. When bringing beer, please bring cans only. Varieties of boxed wine are increasing, and we strongly encourage you to bring Tetra packs or plastic container of coolers and pre-mixed drinks. Again, please avoid bringing glass. Thank you.

*We are dedicated to providing a pristine wilderness environment for all of our guests. Littering--cigarette butts included--is unacceptable

*Please try to bring biodegradable soaps and shampoos, and environmentally friendly bug repellants.

*Pets are welcome as long as you bring all supplies for them including collar and leash and clean up after them. There is an additional charge of 10$ per night for each pet to offset the costs of extra cleaning and maintenance. We have a resident fixed female dog named Lucy, so if your pets will not get along with other pets, we ask you leave them at home. Please don't feed people-food to Lucy our dog. If you'd like to give her a treat, she'd love some nice cold water and a rub behind the ears. Thank you.

*Garbage must be in tied the plastic bags provided and will be picked up daily. We provide recycling and compost service as well. Please, be considerate when filling the garbages. We remove all refuse by boat or by car, and cleaning up a messy trunk is no fun.

*Please ensure that all children have properly sized lifejackets

*Please ensure that every person has his or her own personal flash light.

*Day visitors and "overnighters" are welcome, providing that there is enough space. However, there is an extra charge to off-set the additional wear-and-tear on the property and the buildings. Please ask Cam before making arrangements.

*The ambulance pick-up point is at the end of Oiseau Road. A private air ambulance service is available for a charge to the patient. Please be aware of your choices in times of emergency.  The guest is responsible for his or her own safety while on the property at all times. The guest is responsible for bringing his or her first aid equipment as he or she deems fit.

*Check-in time is any time after 2:00 pm. Check out time is 10:00 am.
