How to Find Us

We're a short drive (~2.5 hours) from Ottawa, Ontario. While our post office is located in Deep River, Ontario, the cottages themselves are located across the Ottawa River (provincial border) in Sheen County, Quebec.

Drive: To access Oiseau Bay Eco-Landing, you can drive in along the Quebec shore (crossing at Pembroke).

Boat: If you'd prefer to come by boat, you can drive to the Deep River Ontario Federal Pier, park, and put your boat in.

Driving Directions to Oiseau Bay Eco-Landing:

From Ottawa/Montreal To Oiseau Bay Eco-Landing: Drive through Ottawa onto TransCanada Highway 17 West towards Pembroke, Ontario. Exit onto Greenwood Road / Provincial Route 40. Follow Route 40 until the right hand turn to the Province of Quebec Bridge (Route 148). Cross the bridge. After a few minutes, take a left turn onto Pembroke Road towards Ile des Allumettes (Chapeau). Follow signs towards "Sheenboro".

Drive through Sheenboro. The road will become a gravel road. Continue driving straight for 5 minutes until you come across a 4-way intersection marked by orange pylons. Turn Right. Continue along this gravel road, down the hill. The hill will begin to rise again. Stay left towards St. Patrice and ZEC. Travel 9 km. Pass through the ZEC gate. There is a $7.00 charge to pass. Continue on for a couple more minutes until "Oiseau Bay" sign. Turn left. Follow signs for "Oiseau Bay" for 7.5 km.

 

Driving Directions to Deep River Pier:

From Ottawa To The Deep River Federal Pier: Driving West on Highway 417. Drive for approximately 2 hours. Once in Deep River, take the "Ridge Road" exit. Turn left onto McDonald Street. Turn Right onto Laurier Ave. Stay straight to go onto Brockhouse Way. Stay straight onto River Road. Turn right onto Pier Road. If you are boating yourself, head East down the Ottawa River for 8km. The Landing will be clearly visible on the North side of the river.

From Montreal To The Deep River Federal Pier: Take Auto Route 40 Ouest to the TransCanada Highway 417/17 West. Continue through Ottawa. Then, follow above directions from Ottawa to Deep River.
